The standard
“The work is technical.
The result should feel effortless.”
Audio practice
FOH and monitor mixing, television performance, festivals, touring, rehearsals and artist show development.
Studio engineering, mixing, production and musical problem-solving grounded in twenty-eight years of record-making.
Playback, RF, show systems, technical direction and calm coordination between artists, crews and vendors.
Musician first
Before the consoles, stages and studios, Drew was a working musician. Trained at Berklee College of Music and Los Angeles Music Academy, his foundation in jazz, songwriting and performance continues to shape everything he does.
His playing is grounded in time, tone, restraint and serving the song—the same instincts that guide his engineering and mixing.
Years of sessions, records, touring and live performance have made Drew equally comfortable creating from the stage, the tracking room or behind the console.
Being on both sides of the glass gives him an intuitive understanding of what performers need to feel supported, confident and fully present.
Today his practice centers on bass, seven-string nylon guitar, drums and hand percussion—continually expanding the musical vocabulary behind the work.
Selected studio work
Acoustic design, treatment and custom fabrication shaped by years spent recording, mixing and listening critically in working studios.
Featured room
At Lucy’s Meat Market, the acoustic work lives alongside a remarkable collection of instruments, amplifiers and recording history. The room remains unmistakably itself—only more controlled, useful and musical.
Beyond the console
Years spent inside studios, venues and production environments shaped a second practice: designing and building spaces that support creative work.
Purpose-built rooms considered from isolation and infrastructure through finishes, furniture and daily workflow.
Custom broadband treatment, bass management, clouds and tuned systems built around the room’s actual needs.
Digitally fabricated studio furniture, millwork and architectural acoustic elements made in Los Angeles.
